The Awe of the Almighty

O sing, O soul, in trembling voice,
The Maker reigns — let all rejoice!
He knows the deep, the hidden shade,
Where darkest hearts and shadows fade.

Yet still He holds, yet still He stays,
The Light unbroken in His gaze.
He knows the dark — its schemes, its snare,
Yet mercy breathes through sovereign care.

The Lord, who weighs both night and day,
Lets every soul walk their own way;
Yet through the storm, through pride, through fall,
His hand still governs over all.

O Fear Him, Tremble, Stand in Awe,
The Judge of heaven’s highest law!
No shadow hides, no mask deceives,
Before the One who sees, believes.

Compassion burns, but never bends,
His purity no darkness rends.
To know the depth where darkness dwells,
Yet not be stained — His glory tells.
