Concerning: Jealousy .
💚 “Do Not Become a Slave to Your Own Jealousy”
A Reflection on Love, Desire, and the Freedom to Release
Jealousy.
We’ve all met it.
Somewhere deep within us,
lurking like a shadow behind our most beautiful dreams.
It rises when we feel we’ve poured so much —
into a person, a pursuit, a vision.
Only to find that the object of our devotion…
does not meet us in return.
And that hurts.
Of course it does.
But let us say this gently:
That hurt does not have to define you.
Because jealousy is not just an emotion —
It’s a trap,
a leash tied to an expectation that another person should reflect us,
love us, or fulfill a role we wrote for them in our dreams.
But they don’t have to.
And maybe they can’t.
Because love is not conquest.
Because free will is a mystery beyond possession.
Because no soul was born to serve as our proof of worth.
We must learn to say:
“Yes, I hoped.
Yes, I tried.
But no — I do not need this person to validate my journey.”
If their willingness is limited,
if their heart is elsewhere —
that does not diminish your beauty, your power, your path.
It only means:
“The gate is closed.
And you’re free to walk another way.”
So now:
Take a deep breath.
Let the light of the evening sun touch your skin.
Let the sound of birdsong remind you:
Life continues. Grace unfolds.
Pour yourself a soft drink.
Smile softly at the lessons you’ve lived.
And say, truly:
“干杯 — to the Past.”
“Cheers — to all that didn’t work out.”
“Amen — to the freedom I now claim.”
No more placing your worth in another’s hands.
No more measuring success by the outcome of your pursuit.
Let the story shift.
Let the air lighten.
“干杯吧🥂,原谅吧 — 忘记吧 。”
