The Christic Path: A Journey of Becoming Like Christ

The path of Christ is not a path of worldly prestige, applause, or comfort — it is a path of transformation, where the soul learns to become like Christ Himself. This is not about mimicking His life from the outside, but about receiving His heart on the inside.

To walk the Christic path is to carry burdens — not only your own, but at times, those of others whom God has placed in your care. Just as Jesus bore the weight of humanity’s sin, so the Christic soul is called to walk in compassion, intercession, and redemptive endurance.

It is a path of surrender to God — where your will bows daily before the Father, even in anguish, saying as Christ did:

“Not my will, but Yours be done.” (Luke 22:42)

It is a life of unceasing prayer, where communion with God is not a duty but a lifeline. It is a calling to stay pure, even when the world around you celebrates compromise and spiritual adultery.

And most of all, it is a path of hope in Christ Jesus, trusting that the one who began a good work in you will carry it to completion. (Philippians 1:6)

This is not:

  • A path to win earthly favour,

  • Nor a route to social admiration,

  • Nor a means to self-gain.

This is a path of truth, and truth is often costly.

To walk this way is to say:

“Though none go with me, still I will follow.”

“Even if I lose all else, I will not lose Him.”

Those with divided hearts — those who seek Christ as a means to material blessing or influence — are not fit for this way. The Christic path demands undivided loyalty, total devotion, and faith that does not barter with God.

If your heart seeks glory, advantage, or comfort above the cross — step back.

This path is not for you.

But if your heart burns to stay true to God until the end, no matter the cost — then walk on. You are not alone, and your steps are seen in Heaven.

Amen.
