Trust the Process

Things do change, Lord —
Just… differently.

Old beliefs, outdated values,
Lose their weight in silence.
They crumble like dusty towers,
Not with noise,
But with time’s quiet breath.

Revolts may roar,
Uprisings may spark,
Yet they seldom carve
The change our hearts desire.
But time —
Your time —
Always unfolds what is needed.

🌿

And while we wait,
Even I, even countless others,
Transform our older selves.
Shed the skins of yesterday.
Grow into the ones
You dreamed us to be.

🌞

Yes, some dreams seemed sweet,
But You, O Lord,
Hold a higher way.
A road straighter, clearer,
Leading us nearer to true goals.

So I rest in faith.
I set aside injustice-talks,
And tales of missed chances.
I believe — firmly —
That You, Loving Father,
Take care of all things
Better than we could imagine.

And so, I trust the process.
I trust the story You are writing.
I trust the hands
That hold me still.
